James is a powerful back row forward, currently playing for England and captaining London Wasps. He is the only player to have played on 4 continents and, at the age of 30, has over a decade of international rugby under his belt. James has also played for the England Sevens team in the IRB World Sevens Series in Dubai. His versatility and ability to play in every position across the back row makes James a key player for club and country. James was a member of the 2011 World Cup squad in New Zealand and has gone on to be capped by his country more than 60 times (so far).
James spent 7 years at Wasps before moving to France for 2 years to play for Stade Francais. After the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand, James spent time playing for Japanese side the Ricoh Black Rams and the Super 15s side Otago Highlanders.
James is very popular in the media world – he’s enjoyed presenting a weekly UFC programme on BT Sport, he is a regular studio pundit for Sky Sports as their England and France expert. James also summarises for ESPN, TalkSPORT and co-commentates on BBC Radio 5 Live. He’s been on Sky’s Celebrity Poker, A Question of Sport, A League of their Own & Celebrity Chase. James also hosts RBS, RugbyForce, Investec & Coutts events.
