George King, widely recognised as the shardclimber, a 24-year-old trailblazer in the realm of extreme sports, focusing on BASE jumping and urban free solo climbing. My most talked-about feat was scaling The Shard in 2019, catapulting me into the global spotlight, further highlighted by my feature in the award winning Channel 4 documentary, “The Boy Who Climbed The Shard.”
George positioned himself as a captivating TV presenter for Channel 4, where he has presented 2 extreme sports shows.
My talks are on fear management whilst touching on themes of neurodiversity, specifically ADHD.
Fearless Pursuit:
Conquering the Heights Within
Fear intrigues me; I sought to understand, control, and harness it. From a young age I was consumed by curiosity about fear, obsessed with unraveling its mysteries.
My mission is to transform people’s lives through changing their relationship with fears. Through compelling talks, he delves into the very essence of fear, providing tangible methods to empower individuals from all backgrounds in navigating high-pressured situations.
“From Hindrance to Superpower: Reclaiming Strength through Neurodiversity”
Growing up, academic success within traditional educational settings eluded me, leading to premature judgments of my intelligence and pace of learning. My journey took a significant turn with an ADHD diagnosis, which introduced me to medication as the primary solution. However, this treatment felt like it stripped away my essence, transforming me into someone I hardly recognised. During this challenging period, I began to forge mental strategies to redirect the energies of my ADHD from a debilitating hindrance into a powerful and positive force. This experience taught me to view ADHD not as a limitation, but as a unique strength when harnessed properly. Consequently, I chose to discontinue medication, having learned to navigate and manage my ADHD effectively on my own terms. Central to my mission is empowering individuals grappling with neurodiversity to reclaim control over their personal narratives.
