Intelligent and charming, Philippa Forrester brought a fresh approach to shows such as Tomorrow’s World, Barking Mad, Time Machine, and the Tomorrow’s World Roadshow when she joined as a presenter. She has also co-presented the hugely successful television show, Robot Wars. With a considerable amount of experience in live broadcasting, Philippa is a confident and charming host or presenter.
Philippa Forrester’s four years with Children’s BBC saw her presenting the morning sequences during term time and in the holidays, as well as the enormously popular ‘Broom Cupboard’ afternoon links.
Following her stint in The Broom Cupboard, Philippa became presenter of the weekly pop show, The Ozone, interviewing a variety of musicians and pop stars from Annie Lennox and Paul McCartney, to teen heart throbs East 17 and Take That.
Although most of Philippa’s work is broadcast live, she enjoys filming too. She has been involved in numerous informative films, with both a serious or a light-hearted slant. Philippa’s conservation studies and work for Tiggywinkles Animal Hospital added much to her presentation for BBC TV’s Zoo Watch.
As a hands-on Vice President of The Wildlife Hospital Trust, she spends one day a week helping in the rehabilitation of Britain’s wildlife.
