Chelsea Cameron

Chelsea Cameron was not envisioning a life of TV/radio fame when she spent her young years with parents who were experiencing drug addiction. Normality for Chelsea was watching her parents pass out for periods of time. She was often ended up looking after herself and her little brother without adult supervision.   However, instead of resenting her parents or allowing life to grind her down, Chelsea has risen from her difficult circumstances and outshone other children her age.   Her determination, endearing personality and sunny disposition has helped her to stand out amongst her peers and carried her across a very thorny path.  By sixth year she was elected as head girl at Menzieshill High School.
Although her father is in jail and mother is not with her, Chelsea has the deepest of compassion and empathy for her parents, she even wrote a letter of gratitude to her parents which ended up going viral and led to Chelsea being sought out by television producers and radio agents.   In her letter she sincerely thanked her parents for ‘not being there for her’ because of what she learned and who she has become.

After her letter received such wide scale attention Chelsea found herself going on an exciting trip to London where she appeared on BBC2’s Victoria Derbyshire and ITV’s This Morning.  Following this she received countless invitations to various news and TV shows.  Chelsea’s positivity and charm evoked a warm response from viewers and listeners who were clearly impressed with this unique young woman.  Eamonn Holmes from ITV’s This Morning remarked that Chelsea’s maturity was ‘above her years’ and public feedback showed that young people were taking comfort from this inspiring girl.

Chelsea has no bad feelings for her parents nor does she see herself as a victim.  She expresses unconditional love and commitment to her parents and seeks to inspire anyone to remember ‘there is always a choice.’   Her mother responded to the letter by saying she was proud of her lovely daughter.

Her letter and interviews give glimpses of Chelsea’s dynamic personality; her heartfelt story about working hard to overcome trials whilst helping others along the way would resonate with any audience.
