Ollie Forsyth is a young entrepreneur. Having struggled with dyslexia, he discovered his entrepreneurial flair by selling friendship bracelets to his friends at age 13. This idea caught on and soon he was selling them to all his friends’ parents and their friends as well! Ollie’s Shop, an on-line business, has gone from strength to strength and he has now teamed up with a few carefully chosen charities who he is hoping to support through sales.
Having had support from major celebrities and MP’s, he launched his own entrepreneur’s magazine in November 2014 to inspire young talent to start their own business. The ‘Budding Entrepreneur magazine’ grew rapidly within a year and Ollie has just launched his own creative agency.
Ollie, now 17, left school without qualifications, he says. “School was never for me but I had a business whilst still at school and I couldn’t wait to leave. I was also badly bullied, I was told frequently I was a failure so that made me super determined to succeed.”
As well as being busy with his ventures, he is involved with a number of charities including The Xavier Project.
Ollie has been featured in many newspapers, magazines, radio stations and TV shows including, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Express, The Huffington Post, Entrepreneur.com, BBC Radio 5 and The Victoria Derbyshire show.
