Anthony Hilton

A financial journalist and a highly regarded speaker on economics and business, Anthony Hilton has a reputation for writing in his columns what others don’t even like to think ‘ be it on the insanities of the dot.com boom, the blind pursuit of shareholder value, the incompetence of the fund management industry, the problems of regulation ‘ or the failure of most takeovers to deliver value.Although most of his career has been in financial journalism, Anthony spent six years as managing director of the ‘Evening Standard’, and has served as a non executive director of companies in insurance, publishing and management consultancy.

Anthony has spoken at the management conferences of many of the world’s leading companies, including IBM, Siemens, British Telecom, Boots and Lloyd’s of London. His topics include bespoke critiques of companies and their markets, as well as journalism.
