Jennie Bond has been the BBC’s Court Correspondent since 1989, and she has covered all the major stories involving the Royal Family since then, including reporting from Royal tours all over the world. Since 1991, she has combined this with presenting BBC Television news bulletins too. Jennie won the heart of the nation for her good-humoured participation in television’s ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’.

Jennie Bond graduated from Warwick University with an honours degree in French and European literature; her early experience in journalism included working as a reporter for the ‘Richmond Herald’ (1972-75) and then ‘The Evening Mail’ (1975-77).
Jennie then moved to BBC Radio where she worked extensively in the national newsroom writing and editing the news. She also worked as a producer on ‘Woman’s Hour’ and as editor or ‘International Assignment’ and a light entertainment show with Noel Edmonds, ‘The Time of Your Life’.
In 1986, Jennie became a reporter on national radio news. Jennie regularly presented ‘The Today Programme’ (Radio 4) and once she had teamed up with Sue MacGregor, they became the first female team to present this prestigious programme. In 1988, Jennie moved to television as a reporter for BBC news and covered events such as the Lockerbie air disaster. In 1989, Jennie was invited to become the BBC’s Court Correspondent and since 1991, she has combined this with work as a presenter on BBC television news bulletins.
Jennie has presented the ‘Six O’Clock News’ and ‘Breakfast News’ extensively, as well as other bulletins. She won many fans for her appearance in the reality TV programme, ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ for her sense of fun while trying to survive in the jungle.
