Sarah Ayton

Sarah Ayton is one of Great Britain’s most successful Olympic sailors.
She won gold in the Athens 2004 Olympic Games as the youngest member of the crew,who became affectionately known as “Three Blondes in a Boat”.

Following Athens Sarah lead her own campaign as helm and skipper of the boat, dominating the class and making the podium at every major regatta they entered.

Then as favourites to win Gold at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games they did just that. Sarah’s second successive Olympic Goldmedal.

Following Beijing Sarah married Olympian windsurfer Nick Dempsey and in June 2009 they had a baby.
Having already received an MBE in 2005, she received her OBE in the 2009 New Years Honours.

Sarah is now focusing her energy on developing a career in corporate speaking and the media…….and on her son Thomas!
