Jon Snow is the main anchor of Channel 4 News. Before becoming presenter of the flagship bulletin, Jon was ITN Diplomatic Editor, covering the summits in Washington and Moscow, as well as numerous other international stories.
Jon has won several awards for his reports, including the Monte Carlo Television Festival Golden Nymph for ‘Eritrea Air Attack’ and the RTS Reporter of the Year Award for ‘Walk into Afghanistan’, ‘US Helicopters in Iran’ and the ‘Shatt al Arab Rescue’. Jon has covered a variety of important stories for ITN. He reported from Germany when the Berlin Wall came down, and returned there for the historic elections. He also provided live coverage from South Africa when Nelson Mandela walked to freedom.
On a lighter note, Jon Snow was the only British journalist to be granted a full-length interview with Monica Lewinsky.
